Peter Hartley - 1st Baritone
Peter was associated with the Midlands Langley Band and John Thompson Works band. In his younger days he had enjoyed 3 years as principal euphonium of the National Youth Brass band. Vacating his lecturing post in mathematics at Coventry University 20 years ago, Peter's work moved south coinciding with him joining BCB as our principal trombonist. His versatile musicianship has been an asset to the band as he has, over the years also covered euphonium and baritone positions. Retiring in 2005 from his computer programming business, Peter now lives in Poole and has two grown up sons. Peter is one of the bands music composer / arrangers and his music is regularly performed by the band.
