Peter is the Northerner in the Band. A professional carpenter, most his working life was was in the Mossley area where he played in Mossley Band enjoying in his time two visits to the Albert Hall as National finalists and joint concerts with Brighouse and CWS Manchester and Wingates. After a brief spell of working and living on the Isle of White and playing principal cornet with Ryde band, Peter semi-retired to Bournemouth. Hearing the band one day at Lychett Minster in 1995 he was captured by BCB and has been with us since. His is a great admirer of the Black Dyke band and his favourite piece of music is Variations on a Ninth". He lives in Boscombe with his partner Mary.
